Friday

Gates open at 3pm

3pm- Jay Nash

Join us on Friday at 3pm to kick off Festival Weekend!

Jay Nash’s music is like the river that raised him—strong and deep, with a little bit of lullaby and a big damn current. Twenty years ago, he played loud in bars along the Saint Lawrence River, in the reaches of New York so far-flung they’re almost Canadian. For the last decade, he’s journeyed the US and Europe solo, selling over 60,000 records without ever putting ink on a conventional record deal. Now in the green mountains of Vermont, the quiet cold of winter rarefies wit and musicianship into the kind of Americana that knows where it comes from.”

This first-hand encounter enables participants to understand the defining characteristics that make a bird a raptor and their adaptations for life as a predator on the wing. Touchable artifacts and hands-on materials round out this special experience.

6pm - Conniption Fits

The Conniption Fits sound has been compared to Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Silversun Pickups, u2, The Police and David Bowie. Reigning from various areas of New Hampshire and Vermont, The Conniption Fits blend their collective experiences and array of musical backgrounds in creating their signature, upbeat, Rock sound. The Conniption Fits have combined their years of studio and stage performances in developing a chemistry that solidifies them as a mainstream, American band. Having taken center stage at hundreds of shows and concert venues, The Conniption Fits have shared their music with live, cross-genre audiences.

Stevens Blanchard and Shawn Snyder have performed more than 1500 shows over 6 national tours and has shared stages with acts like 3 Doors Down, Fastball, Mighty Bosstones, 7 Mary Three, Blue Oyster Cult, Mountain, Warrant, and Cinderella to name a few.

4:30pm - Stone Cold Roosters

The Stone Cold Roosters are a group of Vermont musicians who have been getting together semi-regularly for 12 years to make music and make each other laugh, not always in that order. In a live show you might hear honky tonk, swamp funk, old blues and rock and roll. We have three critically acclaimed CDs to our name. Our original tunes draw from the aforementioned sources but will occasionally display an eerie, post-modern sensibility. We’re not sure if the latter is true but it sounds vaguely interesting.

We are available for all kinds of musical events, including weddings, clubs, outdoor venues and corporate events, essentially any situation that would benefit from a lively, dance-oriented take on American roots music.
